Fortis
A cosmetic lightweight solid ankle foot orthosis.Manufactured as a made to measure device to a scan or cast.
Features
- Variable thickness of the AFO provides controlled flexibility to the footplate and calf whilst giving increased strength around the ankle.
- Low profile and lightweight design
- Choice of colour, lining colour and image or hydrographic design available
- Optional Interchangeable heel pitching posts
- Optional integrated calf strap and dorsal wings or integrated loop instep and calf strap
Indications
- Spastic muscle tone due condition such as cerebral Palsy, CVA and other neurological conditions
- Coronal plane instability
- Tight Achilles Tendons
- Severe tip toe walking
- Flaccid foot drop when additional coronal plane control is required
Contraindications
- High risk skin/vascular condition
- Tissue viability
- Swelling/oedema
- Severe fixed deformity
