A low-profile energy return AFO, designed to provide dynamic motion control. Manufactured as a made to measure device to measurements, scan or cast.
Features
- Footplate, calf band and strut contoured to the patient’s individual anatomy
- Preloaded dynamic strut with 3 levels of control
- Choice of medial or lateral strut
- Integrated stabilising heel post
- Dynamic footplate
- Perforations to footplate to allow additional air flow
- Interchangeable calf band (with or without strap)
- Choice of colours for strapping and lining
Indications
- Flaccid foot drop
- Dorsiflexor muscle weakness secondary to other neurological pathologies such as MS/CVA/MND etc
- Common peroneal nerve dysfunction
Contraindications
- Severe coronal plane instabilities
- Fixed deformity of the foot and ankle
- Spasticity
